What’s going on? My name’s Austin. I’m with Firebrand Initiative. Today I’m talking with Kyle.
Kyle, how has your life improved since joining Firebrand?
I’m a whole new man and it’s crazy because you hear people say that. It doesn’t mean much, but
there’s a lot of work that goes into it. But Firebrand gives you the tools. It gives you
the weapons. It gives you the mindset shifts. It gives you what you need to make the transition
from being that guy who’s victim-minded, who’s going to vices, who’s doing gambling, who’s,
you know, all those things that we think are okay, that we make excuses for as Christians.
What it does is it gives you those tools to get out of that pit.
Yeah, I love that, man. And then if you can pinpoint, brother,
what has improved the most in your life?
There’s a lot. But the first thing that came to mind is just my lack of excuse-making.
I always justified, you know, smoking weed, drinking alcohol. I always made excuses why
I didn’t get things done, why I didn’t go to the gym, why I didn’t get things done in life.
And Firebrand gave me the tools to get out of that, to not have that excuse-making mindset
and rather a go-getter mindset. Yeah, I love that, man.
Let me ask you, so how has your marriage improved since joining Firebrand?
That’s the one right now, all glory to God. My marriage, I have never loved my wife more than
I love her right now. And I love that woman more than I could ever even comprehend. And
I loved her before, but it was a love that had some superficialness to it. It had some
quotation marks around it, I guess you could say, you know, like there is some things that
I would not love her for. There’s none of that anymore. I love my wife fully and deeply
and surrendered, and I will do anything for her. You know, we used to use the word divorce a lot
in our language and our fights and our conversations. That word is no longer used. I had a conviction
put on my heart through the Firebrand training, through the Firebrand coaching, and that was until
I am hanging on a cross, I have not loved my wife enough. And that really convicts me
because it allowed me to recognize that there is nothing my wife can do that will stop me
from loving her because there’s nothing that we can do that stops Jesus from loving us.
Yeah. All right. Well, I appreciate you talking with me, brother.
Yeah.
Thank you.
Absolutely.
